What is the latency when overlaying onto a video signal?
Answer
There is virtually no latency for the video signal being overlaid onto.

The video signal comes in, has graphics overlaid, is buffered and sent straight back out. No other delay or processing of the CV or YC video signal is performed. Overall latency is probably less than 1 micro-second (a millionth of a second).

(Please note that the computer graphics signal is delayed by up to one frame on these units, since scan-conversion is performed.)

This applies to:
CORIOgen Eclipse
CORIOgen Eclipse PCI/ISA
CS-450
CS-460
VineGen 2
VineGen Pro
MultiGen 2
MultiGen Pro
MultiGen
